The matchlessness of the contents of the holy
Qur'an is such that is requires a vast discussion, for which not one but several books would be needed. As ‘Tafseer’ of the holy Quran is spread over several volumes. Anyhow here we will discuss briefly the preliminaries. So what kind of book is the holy Quran is it book of literature, science, art of philosophy. The answer to this is none. The prophets were of a distinct type, they were neither scientists, nor historians, men of letters nor philosophers. But they had the good qualities of them all along with many extra qualities. So the holy Quran is not a book of science, history, literature or philosophy, it is a revealed book. And it has the points from all of them with many extra merits.
The holy Quran was revealed for man, so they could find the right way. One who was created by Allah and then guided through many prophets over the years. Man was created before the creation of the world and he will return to Allah after death. The people who learn from the holy Quran have knowledge totally different from those who obtained knowledge through science. And the knowledge of the people who learnt from the holy Quran is more extensive.
According to science man only exists from his birth till his death. And there is nothing before or after him. Science does not know what is before the person is born and after he dies, but the the Muslim scholar's knowledge is beyond these events. The holy Quran tells us that there is another world for us after this world and we will be there for eternity. And the acts he performs in this world will be the deciding factor of his life in the hereafter.
Personal dealing has also been explained in the holy Quran; like in Surah Baqarah it is stated:
"O you who have believed, when you contract a debt for a specified term, write it down. And let a scribe write [it] among you in justice. Let no scribe refuse to write as Allah has taught him. So let him write and let the one who has the obligation dictate. And let him fear Allah, his Lord, and not leave anything out of it. But if the one who has the obligation is of limited understanding or weak or unable to dictate himself, then let his guardian dictate in justice. And bring to witness two witnesses from among your men.
And if there are not two men [available], then a man and two women from those whom you accept as witnesses - so that if one of the women errs, then the other can remind her. And let not the witnesses refuse when they are called upon. And do not be [too] weary to write it, whether it is small or large, for its [specified] term. That is more just in the sight of Allah and stronger as evidence and more likely to prevent doubt between you, except when it is an immediate transaction which you conduct among yourselves. For [then] there is no blame upon you if you do not write it. And take witnesses when you conclude a contract.
Let no scribe be harmed or any witness. For if you do so, indeed, it is [grave] disobedience in you. And fear Allah. And Allah teaches you. And Allah is Knowing of all things."
